Whether you have gone to the snow for a session on your ski’s or board, or whether all you want to do is go out and pick up girls, this guide will help you be successful in finding that snow bunny that will keep you warm at nights! Lets review a few very very simple facts.

1. Snow is cold. Therefore, people are cold

2. Snow outfits are ugly.

3. The only time a person is stopped on the mountain is after they’ve crashed or in a chairlift.

With these 3 things in mind, you are well on your way to picking up in the snow. Lets think – if you meet a girl like me – you’ll meet someone that loves the snow. The fresh powder and the beautiful soft snow…And when it comes to meeting people on the ski slopes, you need to tap into the very thing that we’re all looking for – warmth!

Striking up the conversation

So what do you say to a girl you meet on the chairlift? Its so easy, there are a million things to talk about in the snow. The weather, the runs, the speed of the chairlift anything – all you need you make sure, is that you don’t come across like a weirdo, and that you don’t sound like you’re trying to pick us up…No girl will respond well to pick up lines in the snow. There is very little scope for this unfortunately, but its just the way it is. The way you should see things is that if you consider going to a bar – its very easy for a girl to imagine going home with you/kissing you in the parking lots etc. In the snow, its a very different story. A girl has to think about taking her snow jacket off, and about 6 other layers, then getting changed into her “good” undies and making sure she doesn’t smell of sweat and that her face doesn’t look like her cheeks have been beaten with a wet fish…So make sure you sound genuine. A good rule of thumb is that if you are thinking that you’re trying to pick her up, then you probably sound like you are. So try to get that out of your head, and just move onto my next tip.

Numbers are winners

In the snow, there is a party atmosphere. People want to meet people, and people want to talk to you. The fact is, the more people you talk to, the more chances you will have to pick up. Sure, you won’t every time, but who will? Many girls will be there with their boyfriends or families – a snow trip with 8 single girls is very rare. Often the single girls are those who are actually working on the mountain, so sometimes they are your best bet. If you are in a big ski field like in Canada or in Japan, there are many many people who go to those ski fields from all over the world – mostly single! Find out when the next hospitality night or local workers night is, and hit that party – your ability to pick up girls there will be the highest.Like I said, just talk to as many girls as possible, and you’re bound to find one like me!

Mountain Hunting

The actual mountain is a great place to pick up. When girls fall, they like someone to come and help them up. I should know – I hate getting snow in my bum, and feeling silly. All I wish for is some white night to come along and help me up, pick up my goggles from 10 meters away, and help me up…Here is a little story for you: I was once skiing in Japan, and hit a small mogul run. The weather was just beautiful, but I managed to fall quite heavily. A lovely japanese boy came to help me up, and he told me how I made a terrific impression of a rag doll when I fell – he had such a cheeky grin on his face, that we both burst out laughing. After that, it was close to the last run of the day, so we decided to go down the mountain together (Because I didn’t feel too confident at that stage). We ended up spending the evening sipping Sake and talking about the snow etc. In the end, we swapped digits, and I have been in contact ever since. Next time I’m in Japan, I will definitely meet up with him! My little saviour!

Going out at night

Picking up in nightclubs in the snow is easy. Mostly, the people that are there are single, and know how to party. Everyone is happy, and the overall atmosphere is very positive. Don’t worry about being shy – the snow is where characters rule! Want to dance like a goose? Dance like a goose! Girls love this, and will respond to guys who show that they are confident. When choosing a place to hang out at night, ask the locals. They will know what is good and what’s not. Don’t go to the places that your tour guide recommends. And at the end of the day, just follow the nicest girl you’ve met on the mountain to wherever she wants to go!

I received a facebook message from a friend who was having trouble meeting younger girls. He is in his 60’s and is a distinguished older man with a terrific life. Currently, he doesn’t work, nor does he need to. Dating older men from a girls perspective it no different. Obviously, there are times when the age difference can cause a bit of tension between the two parties, but all in all its very acceptable. So how can older men meet younger women? Well, its very easy. It just depends on your approach. Older men who date younger women spawn some of the greatest relationships around. Typically, guys are more immature than they think. Women, whether you like it or not, mature much faster, and reach the stage where they want a relationship much earlier than guys. Young girls like established men – guys with jobs, and culture. - ACTING YOUR AGE: If you look much younger than you are, you should play this up. Do fun things like going dancing, or something adventurous. If you are trying to date younger women, then you need to remember that its probably not a good idea to continue talking about your grandchildren. Or talking about the time you went to the first elvis concert. Phrases like this put your age in the forefront, and may intimidate younger girls when they realise that you were making love when they weren’t even born!

- DON’T BE DIRTY: You should always be a gentleman. Younger women will be attracted to you because you are who you are, and not because you are trying to be someone that you aren’t. Therefore, don’t try to get them into bed the first time you meet them. You do not want to be portrayed as a dirty old man.

Depending on how old or young the person is, love will triumph. Don’t let age get in the way of what could be a beautiful relationship. The thing about these kinds of thing is that they are all very specific. You can apply these principles above to every situation of an older man and a younger woman, but its not all you need. Every relationship has slightly different nuances, and this will be important when it comes to being successful. My New Years Resolutions – Dating In 2010

After the “Naughties” decade, we are in for a great new decade, or at least I feel like we are! 2010 is going to be the year of revolution in dating, with many new online dating sites and online dating methods. We have come a long way in the last 10 years. Whoever heard of facebook, twitter, myspace and the like in the year 2000 (Look me up on facebook and twitter)! These methods of contacting others has spread far and wide, and now we find that we just can’t do without it. Through my experiences with picking up in bars, clubs compared with meeting great guys on good online dating sites, I often wonder whether its even worth getting dressed and going out these days! Of course, it is always fun to go out with the girls and meet new people, and listening to new pick up lines is hilarious! I can’t WAIT until 2010 brings me some novel ways to meet new guys! Here is a list of My 2010 New Years Resolutions for Dating.

1. Online Dating – Find an awesome online dating site and stick to it. I often move from dating site to dating site and sometimes I just don’t get it right. Often they are expensive and sometimes you just have a hard time even working out how to use them! I’m not the most tech savvy person, but I love meeting people online. My first point of call will be to read Ollie S’ review of Free Dating Sites for 2010.

2. Being more receptive to male advances – As a girl, we get approached by guys all the time. I have heard it all, the good pick up lines, the bad ones, and the ones that make me just go, Huh? Well, I’ve decided to make it a new years resolution for 2010 to be more receptive. I know that a lot of my girlfriends have said similar things.

3. Take up a new co-ed team sport! Sports are great ways to meet people, and I have always stuck to single person sports like tennis, and all girl sports like netball. Well, I would love to try something with guys as well! After all, who doesn’t like a sporty guy! I am thinking that beach volleyball or even 10-pin bowling might be interesting. Any other ideas guys? Help me build a list of great new co-ed sports. Just tell me on the forum.

4. Thinking up more cool new dating places - Sometimes, its me that’s making the plans for a date. I don’t mind this at all, and the traditional times where the male always came up with the date plans is over! 2010 I’m going to take charge, and try some cool new dating venues, and date ideas. If there are any girls reading this – what about trying to take your man to do something he would like, like going to an indoor shooting range? Or how about getting a big group of guys and girls to go paintballing instead of speed dating!

5. Speaking of Speed Dating – I would love to try more speed dating. A busy life has funnily enough stopped me from going on speed dates. They are always held during times when I already have other committments. If its not writing on here, its taking the dating classes in New York. If its not that, its catching up with my girlfriends, or going on one-on-one dates. I will try some more speed dating events. I always tell my readers and students that speed dating is just dating for busy people – and look at me! Time to put my own words into action!

6. Finally – to try new things in the bedroom – I’m always up for experimenting, and 2010 is going to bring new fun into the bedroom! Time to start reading the Kamasutra again!

During the Christmas season, we all know that we should be spending more time with loved ones, and having fun with friends – but what about online dating?

Online dating seems to be expanding from the sharp, scary world we all used to hear about in the papers, to the soft, loving experience that we all know now. Whether it be rsvp.com or similar, more and more people appear to be moving from conventional dating to more interesting ways to meet new people. How are people picking up these days? Sure, bars and nightclubs are the usual things you will hear on dating websites, but what about all those other ways.

During the festive season, online dating may be a little more fruitful.

Firstly, many users who are longing for a partner to take to their work christmas functions will be more receptive to advances online. But boys, please remind yourselves to keep things tasteful online. Us girls never want to read about how you want to take our clothes off the first time you write to us!

Secondly, there are many lonely girls (And many just curious ones like me) that will spend more time online during the festive season. Its a fact that many men will experience a slight increase in the number of hits that they receive on their online profiles.

So keep these points in mind when you’re loading your profile on your favorite dating site! Here are a few others to think about

1. Change your profile picture on your online dating site with something to do with christmas. Us girls love these cute photos! Don’t worry about being a little silly…its more fun!

2. Write a few interesting memories that you have about spending christmas in strange places, or doing something fun. Girls respond to memories – it increases trust.

3. Make a new years resolution to update your online dating profile. Don’t let it stagnate!

Mistakes Men Make In The Bedroom

Many men think they know all there is to know about how to satisfy a woman in the bedroom. However, they fail to realise that their repertiore often contains a lot of basic errors and assumptions. All of which can make them a less than satisfying partner.

The reality is that most men figure out sex through ‘on the job training’ or from what they have seen on the blue screen. They discover a new ‘trick’ and try to implement it in their act. Unlike a magician who has the audience’s applause to gauge the success of his performance, few partners will give easily discernible feedback.

Here are a handful of mistakes you might be making.

1. You know what she wants

Men often assume that they know what the girl wants. What do they base this on? The only thing they can base it on- what has worked for them in the past. But they fail to realise that every woman is different.

When men get into bed they often switch on their show- its akin to pressing ‘play’ on the DVD player. The problem is that the audience is not always the same. It always amazes me how so many guys are afraid of flirting with women. Flirting with a girl should be fun and exciting for both parties involved!

Flirting does require a bit of work and practice but once you have learnt how to flirt properly for your personality you will see your success with women improve astronomically. Here are some beginner tips on how to flirt.

1. Girls love flirting

Women, like men, love attention and being admired. “Flirting” is simply female speak for the male term “pick up”. Girls don’t want to be picked up as this makes them feel objectified whereas the term “flirting” has the connotation of something that is more fun and playful. Flirting is like the way little boys will tease little girls to get their attention. Deep down all women are little girls at heart.

2. Flirt to make HER feel good

Most guys go into flirting with the expectation that they will succeed in getting a girl’s number or securing a date or some other notional measure of success. Try change your mentality. Tell yourself “I am flirting with this girl to make her feel good”. If you approach flirting this way then you will make it more about her and less about you. By doing this she will as if you are interested in her and not just about getting into her pants.

3. Make flirting fun

Do you remember yelling to a girls in the playground the line: “Girls are weak, chuck chuck ‘em in the creek. Boys are strong, like King Kong”? The response is that the girl will either chase you round the swings and slippery dips, or at worst, at least talk to you to defend why she is stronger than you and about how much little boys suck. It’s the exact same thing with flirting- it’s just an adult form of play fighting. What little boys do in the playground is the basis of the ‘cocky and funny’ approach to flirting.

4. Start slow and build your confidence

Technology has given us many ways to practice flirting techniques without the need for face-to-face interaction. If you are a shy guy this is a good place to start. Online dating sites, text messaging, instant messaging and chat rooms are all ways that you can hone in your skills on what flirting techniques will work for you. Make sure that you are funny and keep your messages short. It’s better to pepper her with short messages that will brighten her day than a long email that she will never finish reading.

5. Practice, practice, practice

Make every woman you meet (bar your family members!) a person you can practice your flirting skills with. Because you now have the mindset that you are flirting for her benefit you will come across as a guy who is fun to be around rather than a sleaze. Practice your cheeky grin, wink or new line. Gauge their reaction. If a colleague is offended by one of your lines, then chances are that it is best to kick that one out of your flirting game plan.

6. Control the conversation

When you are starting your flirting career it’s important that you get your confidence up. One way of doing this is to make sure that you are the person who ends the conversation. A typical example: you are in the line at the supermarket or ticket counter and you start flirting with a girl. You get your groceries/ tickets paid for and it’s time to move on. Deep down you desperately want to ask for her number. Resist the urge for the first 20 or so times you start flirting with strangers. What you need to do is say something like “It was great meeting you, but I really must get going”. By doing this you have controlled the interaction and this will build your confidence. There is nothing worse than being shut down when you ask for her number or have her walk off without saying anything at all.

Dating during these tough economic times can be expensive. You can still impress without having to overdraw your bank account. Here are some date ideas that you can do for less than $20. Speed Dating is also a relatively cheap way of meeting multiple people with minimal costs.

1. Hit the great outdoors
Nature offers us so many places to enjoy a lot of the time for no charge whatsoever. Take her to the beach for some fun in the sun, on a trek through a local reserve or on a picnic by a stream or waterfall. Pair this with a simple picnic hamper and you will have won her over.

2. Play chef for the night
The internet is full of free recipes from every corner of the globe. Find out what type of cuisine gets her mouth watering and plan to cook her something that will excite. You can either do it by yourself or together. Some women love shopping for food, assisting with t he preparation and cooking. You can share the total experience together and enjoy the fruits of your labour.

3. Get some culture

Here are a few red flags that should warrant your suspicion.

- Pressure to move in together and get married. Be careful of ulterior motives.

- Request for help such as money, accommodation or unusual things such as organ donation. You are out there to foster a relationship not provide charity. Fixing the ‘bird with a broken wing’ is often dangerous and the relationship unsustainable.

- Periods of intense interaction either online or offline followed by dropouts as if they have fallen off the face of the planet. This can potentially be due to the fact they are cycling through other relationships or they may have a mental disorder such as bipolar afective disorder.

- An intense desire or detest to meet your family and friends. Are they on the line for a quick marriage or are they hiding something significant from you.

- Early discussion of having children together. Children are often used as a fast way to cement a relationship. If you get intimate, make sure you use protection. Pregnancy by accident or intention still requires you to pay child support.

1. Don’t be slack in your appearance.
If you want to impress a girl, you need be look like she is someone she would be proud to be seen with in public and introduce to her friends. There is no excuse for being unshowered or wearing dirty, unironed clothing. If you are coming from work, bring a spare change of clothes and some light fragrance. There is nothing women hate more than a sweaty, smelly stranger.

2. Don’t forget your manners.
Whether you are having dinner, drinks or just a conversation, remember your manners. A date is not the time to retell strip club stories from your end of year footy trip, nor is it the time to tell her how awesome you are in bed. Swearing and use of profane language is largely unacceptable.

3. Don’t use discount vouchers.
Understandably in troubled financial times it is tempting to used vouchers and discount cards. Please, leave these at home and save them for family and people who don’t care how cheap you are. Using discount cards will only make your date feel as if she is not worth you paying full price. The only benefit of this tight ass behaviour is that next time you will be going out by yourself and just paying or one.

4. Don’t mention previous relationships.
Women feel uneasy hearing about past relationships. There is nothing more nauseating and irritating than hearing a guy moan about his past girlfriends. Similarly, do not mention how good friends you are with your ex. To a girl this means that basically you are able to cheat on her at any time. Leave old flames behind. Don’t forget, if you start talking about an ex and she knows them, you might as well end it right there.

5. Don’t have long cell phone conversations with your mates.
You might think that you are important by talking on your phone while on a date but she will be seeing you as an inconsiderate loser. If you are super popular then switch your phone off. If you might get an occasional call, put your phone on silent vibrate mode. Clearly if there are more important people to chat to than her you might as well be out with them.

First Date Ideas

So you have arranged to meet her next week for the first date. Where are you going to take her? What are you going to do?

Impressing a girl does require a bit of planning but you will be well rewarded for putting in that little extra time to make the first date one that is memorable for her.

Going to a movie for a 3 hour date is something you might have done in high school bu this is hardly the best way to get to know someone better. Here are some dates ideas to stimulate your imagination.

1. Up, up and away
A ride in a hot air balloon is sure to get her excited. Plan the day in advance. Many operators only do early morning and evening flights. Weather conditions are important so make sure that you choose an appropriate time of the year to avoid disappointment.

2. Get down to earth
Picnics are a great way to spend a date especially if you choose a good location. Head down to your local supermarket and load up on a selection of cold meats, dips, crackers and cheese so that you have a reasonable selection just in case she is vegetarian, lactose/ gluten intolerant. Make sure you get something sweet to finish with but nothing that will melt. Also remember to get the insect repellent in the warmer months. Nothing will kill the romance faster than a pack of hungry mosquitoes.

3. Drive her crazy
Go kart racing is a great adrenaline rush and will give you plenty to talk about afterwards. Make sure you warn her in advance that she will need to wear comfortable clothes.

4. Fun on the sand
Head down to your local beach for and endless list of first date activities. Go for a snorkel, build a sandcastle or hit the volleyball court.

5. Play ball
Many great dates have begun at the local billiard/ pool hall, bowling alley or mini golf green. Generally these are activities that few women do on a regular basis and so they love the novelty of getting a strike or getting a hole in one.

Amusement parks aren’t just for kids. A ride on a roller coaster is a sure fire way to excite her.
